Flea Market Rules 2010

1. Set up times for vendors are between 5:90 am and 7:00 am. Please consider the neighbors of the school by not arriving earlier — in previous years several complaints have been made to the police by our neighbors, concerning the noise made by vendors arriving and setting up before 5:00 a.m.

2. If you have reserved space(s) and cannot attend a market, you may transfer your space(s) to another person(s). No reservations will be held without receipt of payment in full. Reserved space(s) will be held until 7:00 am, at which time they may be reassigned to walk-in customers.

3. No selling of food, snacks, soda, water, fireworks, guns, knives, weapons, pornographic or illegal merchandise, or any product(s) banned from sale to the general public and/or not allowed on school property is permitted at the market.

4. Access to the Market is via the main entrance to Governor Mifflin Intermediate School located at the intersection of Governor Drive and Elkins Avenue. Vehicles should be parked within your space(s) (where applicable) or in the parking lots at each end of the school campus. Parking along Governor Drive or in the sidewalk areas is NOT pennitted, these are fire zones and the police will ticket and tow away any vehicles parked in these areas. Please also honor all traffic cones and “No Parking” signs placed for the duration of the market.

5. Please remove all trash from your space(s) prior to vacating the market.
A dumpster is provided on the campus for your convenience. Failure to remove all trash may result in being banned from future markets.

6. Cancellations due to rain or other adverse weather conditions will be announced by
6:00am on the day of the market. The market will then be automatically rescheduled for the rain date applicable to the market. If the market opens but weather conditions close it down before 9:00am that market will also automatically reschedule to the applicable rain date. If the market is closed after 9:00 amit will be considered cancelled/complete. Potential cancellations can also be checked on our website — www.shillingtonlions.org
If a market rescheduled to its rain date is also cancelled, then no further date extensions will be made.
(Note: this has only happened twice in the 35 years this market has been in operation).
